Throughout my life ive always searched

for one true thing i cannot find

though sometimes i feel i have it all

there one thing missing, but on always on my mind.

a life of joy we seek alive

a million accomplishments mean little more 

than what they are when they cant be shared

a life alone i wish for nevermore.

The wind , its gentle whistling by my ears

pulling me toward something near

the sun long rested behind mountains gaze

not knowing,  but hoping, feeling

turning my head from side to side

not quite sure yet what to find

lost in this enticing haze

fighting to find the light

i spy a light i know wont come,

i try to run but fall to some

another corner in this maze

will it ever cease to end

running the souls clean off of me

taking me where ive never been

a journey long been set to blaze 

to find the truest part of me

Friendship

Mostly Friends will come one day

shortly they will walk away

only a few will ever stay

the ones to never walk away

Countless years seem so long

best Friend bond so strong

right there where they belong

friends forever and ever long

Together a million memories made

with bonds so strong they'll never fade

not even separation by a blade

because friends are always at each others aid

Friends will come

friends will go

more than just a little some

there true side to you they'll always show

Senseless

You can see it in my eyes

when they're staring back at you

chameleon iris' colors burst

hiding something left out of sight

You can hear in this voice of mine

spoken softly through thinning air

waterfall of words descend

nothing seeming very clear

You can feel it in my warm embrace

extending comfort from within

a tender wrap like blankets laced

a love supreme to fire's seeds

I only hope you may perceive

my feelings mostly clandestine

locked away from the clouds

untill you help me sail away



Another Day

Every day we awake hopeing for something better than the rest
But to many people take simply waking up everyday for granted
Each and every waking breathe is yet a nother loving gift
We fight each day to find something real
Something we all long to feel
Sometimes some think it al just happens free
Some realize its a choice we need to see
Sometimes sacrifices need to be made to find your one true course
Sometimes its a mystery
Untill its time to be revealed.
If were lucky we will see th signs
If were lucky well find ourselves.

My Four Reasons

While winds begin to chill my spine

And leaves ignite with colored threads

Like an early Autumn sunrise

Her radiant smile captures me

While the world is buried under a powdered blanket

And ice begins to descend these outer walls

Like a fresh Winter snowfall

Her skin appears as soft

While beautiful gardens begin to bloom

And thousands of leaves return to green

Like a calmly flowing Spring brook

Her hair flows smooth and free

While the sun sits high up in the sky

And sandy beaches fill with souls

Like a breathtaking Summer sunset

Her warming eyes steal me away



Ode to Grilled Steak and Shrimp

O juicy scrumptious delight

Thou has been seasoned just right

Though it may be you once went moo

Tender sirloin you make me cookoo

Lying lifeless on your back

Slowly turning from blood to black

I listen to you sizzling

A scent ever so relaxing

O juicy delectable side-dish

The seafood that does not taste like fish

Plucked from your shells

For my grill to create alleviating smells

As you lay roasting in your olive oil glaze

Catching everyone's hungered lasting gaze

Oh how well you accent my sirloin

A perfect meal for everyone to join

O grilled steak and shrimp

Over my charcoal you lay so limp

Only my favorite birthday meal

Appetizing as you make me feel

The fact i get to eat you but only once a year

Surely from my eye will fall a tiny tear

As happy as you make me

My grill and you were surely meant to be
